IHEC imposes fine on electoral slate in Ninewa

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Board of Commissioners of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) in Iraq decided to impose a fine of 10 million Iraqi dinars ($1 U.S. dollar = 1,118 ID) on al-Hadbaa slate in Ninewa for issuing a release that “violates the Commission’s rule of behavior.” “The decision can be appealed before the Judicial Authority for Elections within three days,” said an IHEC release issued on Monday and received by IraqiNews.com news agency.
