Security plan to protect electoral centers in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: A tight security plan has been developed to protect electoral centers in Wassit during the upcoming provincial council elections, scheduled to take place later this month, the governor of Wassit said on Monday. “The Wassit operations room prepared a security plan to protect the electoral centers during the upcoming provincial councils elections,” Latief Hamad Tarfa told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The plan envisages forming 3 security divisions to protect the electoral centers ahead of election day,” he explained. The provincial council elections are due to be held on January 31 in 14 out of 18 Iraqi provinces. Kut, the capital of Wassit, lies 180 km southeast of Baghdad.   SH (P)/SR 1
