SG of national Olympic committee should be elected – Kurdistan

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Kurdistan Olympic committee’s Secretary General on Monday said that selecting a secretary general for the Iraqi National Olympic committee should be through election not appointing, responding to a statement made by Iraq’s sports minister, Jassin Mohammed Jaafar, demanding that the government appoint someone to occupy this position. “Jaafar’s statements were a form of intervention and greed for personal purposes and within a narrow vision,” Sami Saeed said. “The Iraqi government should not intervene in sports issues,” he added.
