There must be an end to division in Diala – VP

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Vice President (VP) Tareq al-Hashemi on Monday called to abide by the primary constants that preserve the unity and stability of Diala, explaining that the province is a scaled-down Iraq that should not be dominated by one side, according to a release issued by al-Hashemi’s office. “Through democracy, people are free to choose their representatives to reinforce the culture of acceptance of others and a peaceful handover of power,” the release that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency quoted al-Hashemi saying while speaking to a public gathering at Diala sport club stadium. “All sides are looking forward to a fair and honest election,” he added. “The upcoming council for Diala will face big challenges,” he noted.
