Cabinet allocates $56.5 million for higher education

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi council of ministers in its second session in 2009 that was held on Tuesday, decided to allocate $56.6 million to develop the higher education sector in the country, according to a release issued by the official spokesperson of the Iraqi government. “This came in response to the recommendations made by the conference to develop higher education to Iraq,” said the release that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “$2.5 million of the amount will be used to support the U.S. Fulbright program,” he added.
