City entrance set up in Diwaniya

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: Two local companies on Thursday completed work on the entrance of Diwaniya’s Afak city at a cost of $800,000 U.S. dollars, the governor’s assistant for technical affairs said. “The project was carried out in cooperation with Diwaniaya’s municipality as part of the 2008 provincial development plan,” Engineer Hazem Omran told IraqiNews.com news agency. The entrance will regulate the movement of traffic in southern Diwaniya, Omran noted, adding that work on the project lasted 240 days. Diwaniya, the capital city of Diwaniya province, lies 180 km south of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
