Committee to study archeological sites in Babel

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: The head of the Reviving and Civilization Modernization Board in Babel said that the Iraqi Ministry of Tourism and Antiques formed a committee to study the archeological sites in the province. “The committee that was formed by the minister of state for tourism and antiquities, Qahtan Abbas al-Jabburi, consists of two of Babel’s provincial council members, five director generals from the ministry, in addition to the archeology director of the province, to study archeological and touristic sites in Babel,” Osama Abdul Hassan told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The committee came up with recommendations such as forming a field team to conclude the rehabilitation of three archeological sites during the coming months,” he added.
