Baghdad’s secretary urges Spanish companies to invest in Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The secretary of Baghdad, Sabir al-Issawi, on Sunday called on Spanish companies to contribute to reconstruction efforts and infrastructure development in the capital. “On Sunday, Issawi met with the Spanish ambassador to Baghdad and discussed with him means of bilateral cooperation,” according to an official statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The meeting also tackled methods of involving Spanish companies in service and reconstruction projects. The Spanish envoy highlighted what he described as “the significant improvement in security conditions in the Iraqi capital, which encourages international companies to invest in the country.” SS (P) 1
