Two water projects in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Work ended on Sunday on two water projects in Basra, at a total cost of around $7.5 million, said the media director of Basra’s rebuilding unit. “The first project, in al-Hussein neighborhood, embraced three new units that supply 2 million gallons per day,” Ali Hanon told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The second project increased the production rate of Shatt al-Arab water project to 6 million gallons per day,” he said. “The two projects were executed by two local companies within seven months,” he added. The projects will contribute to solving the problem of water shortage in Basra, the oil-rich city that lies 590 km south of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 1
