Iraqi basketballers in 3 Asian tournaments

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi national basketball team will participate in three western Asian tournaments in 2009, the secretary of the country’s central federation said on Tuesday. “The first tournament will be held in the Jordanian capital from March 13-21,” Khaled Najm told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Iraqi players will also take part in a Tehran-based championship from May 29- June 6, as well as a Beirut-based tournament in mid-June,” Najm added.
