Power net to gain addition 390 Megawatts

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity on Tuesday said that it is in the process of initiating the operation of four generation units at al-Quds gas driven power station, to add 390 Megawatts to the national electricity network, according to a release issued by the ministry. “Revamping the station’s two existing units, 1 and 7, is almost done, which will add 140 Megawatts,” said the release that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Commissioning two new units has begun, to add an additional 250 Megawatts,” it added.
