Najaf IHEC counts votes, checks boxes

Iraq-People NAJAF / IraqiNews.com: The office of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) in Najaf is currently counting votes and checking polling boxes related to the special voting for the provincial election, the office’s director said on Thursday. “Counting of the votes will occur per province, as we have the database of all voters throughout Iraq,” Boshra al-Zamili told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Any vote would be excluded if it carries a name not included in the database,” she added. “Boxes are opened per order from the IHEC’s main office in Baghdad,” she added.
