2 policemen killed in explosion in Diwaniya

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: Two policemen were killed on Friday in an explosion that took place in the Diwaniya police department, a police source said, noting that the engineering section is working now to defuse a bomb planted inside the department. “An explosion occurred on Friday morning (Jan. 30) inside the Diwaniya police department, killing two policemen, and the engineering staff is working to defuse an improvised explosive device found inside the department,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The explosion followed by a shootout,” eyewitnesses said, without giving further details.
