Diwaniya explosion casualties up to 23

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: The casualties from the explosion that ripped through the Diwaniya police department on Friday rose to three dead and 20 wounded, a security source said. “A bomb went off this morning (Jan. 30) inside the Diwaniya police department, killing three and injuring 20, including three in a serious condition,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The bomb seized by the police among other explosives found in separate areas of Diwaniya,” he added. A police source had said earlier that an explosion occurred on Friday morning (Jan. 30) inside the Diwaniya police department, killing two policemen, and the engineering staff is working to defuse an improvised explosive device found inside the department.
