IED blast near candidate’s house in Babel

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: An improvised explosive device (IED) went off near the house of a candidate in southern Babel on Sunday, causing severe damage to the building, a security source in the province said. “An IED went off near the house of a candidate running for the Iraqi National Congress (INC) party in the area of al-Sayahai, (5 km) south of Hilla, causing severe damage to the house but leaving no casualties,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency.
