$1.2 million in assistance to displaced families in Sinjar

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A total of $1.2 million U.S. dollars has been paid in assistance to 130 displaced families in Sinjar district, according to an official source. “The office for implementing Article 140 of the constitution has distributed financial assistance to 130 displaced families in the district (120 km northwest of Mosul),” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Each family has received an amount of 1.3 billion Iraqi dinars (1 U.S. dollar = 1,118 Iraqi dinars), the source explained. Article 140 of the Iraqi constitution is related to disputed areas.
