Kurdistan RegionG, UNAMI to take up oil law

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) is preparing for a symposium on the hydrocarbon law, to be held in April, according to an Iraqi official source. “The Kurdistan Regional Government’s coordinator for the United Nations affairs, Dindar Zibari, discussed in his Arbil-based office the preparations for this symposium with a UNAMI legal affairs official,” read a statement that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The symposium will be held in cooperation with the UN Constitutional Support Office and with the participation of a number of senior officials from the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG), and parliament members. The symposium aims at bringing together all points of view on the oil and gas law to pave the way for its ratification by the Parliament, the statement noted. SS (P) 1
