Parliament to select new speaker on Saturday

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi parliament’s Thursday session that was supposed to be devoted to select a new speaker for the Iraqi council of representative was postponed to Saturday due to lack of quorum. The session was postponed by the first deputy speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Sheikh Khalid al-Attiya. In today’s session, it was supposed to select two candidates out of 10 who were nominated to occupy the position of parliament’s speaker. MH (P)/ SH 1
