Hostage released, kidnapper arrested near Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Army forces on Sunday released a hostage and arrested one of his kidnappers near Mosul city, according to a military source. “On Sunday, a force from the second division, stationed in Mosul city, freed a hostage kept in an agricultural area in a village affiliated with Wana district (35 km north of Mosul city),” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “One of those involved in the kidnap was arrested,” the source added. “The released hostage, an owner of a real estate office, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen from his house in al-Rashidiya area, northern Mosul, during a late hour on Saturday (Feb. 7) night,” the source explained.
