IED blast targets police patrol in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An improvised explosive device went off near a police patrol in central Mosul city on Sunday but left no casualties, a security source in Ninewa said. “An IED went off in the area of al-Nabi Sheet, central Mosul. The explosion left no casualties but caused damage to a patrol vehicle,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Al-Nabi Sheet, the Arabic translation of Sheth or Seth, is one of the old safe areas in Mosul leading to government facilities like the provincial council building, the police department and other civil offices. According to the Bible, all contemporary humans are descended from Seth through his great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Noah. Seth was 105 when his first son Enosh was born, and he died at the age of 912. Tthe name Seth (Hebrew: Sheth ) is explained as meaning “foundation.” According to this tradition, Seth was perceived as the “Foundation of the World,” since he was the first person born of human parents and the ancestor of all mankind.
