ISX higher by 2.183%

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Stock Exchange (ISX) index rose by 2.183 percent to settle at 69.672 points during Sunday’s session, the first this week. Traded shares in Sunday’s session exceeded 1.178 billion at a total value of over 3.519 billion Iraqi dinars (nearly $2.9 million) by implementing 355 contracts. Shares of 38 companies were traded in today’s session, of which 19 shares jumped, two slumped, and 16 others maintained their previous levels. The banking sector achieved the second highest trading volume with 32.1 percent. The Iraqi Stock Exchange, established under Law No. 74 of the year 2004, held its first session on June 24, 2004.
