Municipal council member escapes assassination

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: A municipal council member on Sunday survived an attempt on his life when a bomb targeted his vehicle in Diala province. “On Sunday, an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted the vehicle of Ismail Adnan, a municipal council member, in Asriya village,” a local security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Adnan survived, but the car was completely burnt,” the source explained, providing no further details.
