Talabani chairs meeting on Kurdistan elections

SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal al-Talabani on Monday presided over a meeting by the political bureaus of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) to discuss the upcoming parliamentary elections in Iraq’s Kurdistan region. “The meeting is currently taking place at Talabani’s Sulaimaniya residence with the participation of the prime minister of Kurdistan, Negervan al-Barazani,” a media source from Talabani’s office told IraqiNews.com news agency.
