107 detainees released from Croper jail

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The U.S. forces released on Wednesday 107 prisoners from the Croper detention center at the Baghdad International Airport in western Baghdad within the U.S.-Iraqi agreement, according to the media advisor of the U.S. army. “The U.S. army freed today (Feb. 11) 107 Iraqi detainees from the Croper detention center within the framework of the security agreement signed between Iraq and the U.S. which includes releasing 1500 detainees every month (50 everyday),” Karim al-Sayab told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The forces work to transfer 1500 files of Iraqi detainees to the Iraqi government to free innocents and keep those who are wanted,” he added. “The Iraqi government rehabilitates Abu Gharieb jail to transfer the detainees who will not be freed,” he also said.
