Academician shot down near Falluja

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: The morgue in Anbar on Wednesday received the body of a university professor, who was shot down near Falluja, according to a local medic. “The body belongs to Izz al-Din Khalaf Ayyoub, a psychology professor in Anbar University,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Ayyoub was shot down by unknown gunmen while he was leaving his house in al-Kartan area, al-Khalidiya district, on his way to the university,” the source explained. “The professor died as a result of serious wounds and his body was delivered to his family,” he added. Falluja, the largest city in Anbar, lies 45 km west of Baghdad; while Ramadi, the capital of the province, is 110 km west of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
