Missan journalists laud IraqiNews.com’s elections coverage

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: Journalists and media men in Missan have lauded IraqiNews.com on its coverage of the recent elections held in Iraq, considering it as main source of news and reports for satellite channels and web sites for its speed, accuracy, and neutrality. “IraqiNews.com topped the list of news agencies in covering the elections through our survey we held in Amara,” Abdul Amir al-Darwiesh, head of the Journalists Syndicate in Missan, said. “The agency managed to reach this level through its excellent planning and its neutrality and its correspondents spread throughout Iraq,” he added, noting another service provided by the agency which is the Short Message Service (SMS) which helped most of the journalists and media men in Iraq during the elections. “IraqiNews.com and through its Web site contributed in rendering our media work a success. Through it, we managed to send our messages to the voters and to supply reporters with different activities and events,” Salah Naeem, director of the media department of the electoral commission in Missan, said. “The agency played a pivotal role in spreading the electoral awareness,” he added. “The agency’s Web site turned to be a reference to everyone interested in elections and all their news,” he explained. “We want to thank all staff in this distinguished agency from editors and reporters and the successful editorial board for their great efforts and we wish them success,” he said. For his part, Saad Hassan, the correspondent of al-Sabah newspaper in Missan, considered the elections coverage presented by IraqiNews.com as the best coverage among other agencies. “The agency’s Web site was among the best Iraqi Web sites covering the elections,” Sami al-Shwai, the correspondent of al-Sharq newspaper, said. “The Web site contributed in spreading the electoral culture among citizens and observers,” Maki al-Saad, the correspondent of al-Manara newspaper said.
