12 civilians killed, wounded in Baghdad blast

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Two civilians on Monday were killed and 10 others were wounded in an explosion that ripped through eastern Baghdad, according to a police source. “A roadside improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unknown men detonated near al-Hamzah Square in al-Habibiya area, eastern Baghdad, killing two civilians and wounding 10 others,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The blast caused damage to two civilian vehicles,” the source added. “Iraqi security forces sealed off the scene of the blast and rushed the wounded to a nearby hospital,” according to the same source.
