Bomb defused south of Nassiriya

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: An anti-bomb squad on Tuesday managed to defuse a bomb planted in western Thi-Qar province, a statement from the Thi-Qar police said. “A bomb expert defused a local-made bomb planted under a car in al-Eikr village in south of Nassiriya,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The police detonated 1.5 ton of explosives and bombs recently seized,” it said.
