ISX higher by 7.055% on Tuesday

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Stock Exchange (ISX) index rose by 7.055 percent to settle at 84.899 points during Tuesday’s session, the second this week. Traded shares in Tuesday’s session exceeded 2.318 billion at a total value of over 4.661 billion Iraqi dinars (nearly $3.9 million) by implementing 484 contracts. Shares of 44 companies were traded in today’s session, of which 26 shares jumped, 3 slumped, and 15 others maintained their previous levels. The banking sector achieved the second highest trading volume with 92.6 percent. The Iraqi Stock Exchange, established under Law No. 74 of the year 2004, held its first session on June 24, 2004. The stock market holds three sessions a week: Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. SH (P)/SR 1
