2 wanted men arrested, IEDs rip through Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Two wanted men on Wednesday were arrested in eastern Mosul, while two explosive charges went off in the center of the city, causing no casualties, according to a security source. “On Wednesday, a force from the Quick Intervention Corps (QIC) arrested two wanted men during a security operation in al-Zahraa neighborhood, eastern Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The arrests were made in light of intelligence tips,” the source noted, adding that hand grenades were found buried in the location. Meanwhile, an improvised explosive device (IED) today detonated in front of a shop in Bab al-Sray area, while another went off in al-Josaq area, downtown Mosul, according to the same source.
