Cabinet examines major amendments on investment law- source

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi government is currently examining “serious amendments” on investment law, especially with respect to housing projects and commercial construction, the cabinet’s official spokesperson said on Wednesday. “The current law is unable to satisfy the required guarantees by foreign investors,” Dr. Ali al-Dabbagh told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The government is interested in reconsidering this bill,” he said.
