Visas from Najaf airport, central security plot in the province

NAJAF / IraqiNews.com: Najaf International Airport will continue to issue visas for Arab and foreign passengers who aim at visiting the holy shrines in the province to celebrate the Prophet Mohammed’s birthday, said the governor of Najaf, while the province’s police director revealed a central security plot for the occasion. “The airport is capable of receiving the anticipated number of visitors,” Governor Asaad Abu Golal said in a press conference in Najaf that was attended by IraqiNews.com news agency. For his part, General Abdikareem al-Amiri, Najaf’s police director, revealed during the same press conference that there would be a central security plan for the occasion. “The plot will provide a safe environment for pilgrims,” he said. “At least 40 ,000 servicemen will participate in the plan,” he added.
