ID4.1b transformers, equipment for Basra electricity

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Preparation of new power transformers and equipment worth 4.1 billion Iraqi dinars (ID), roughly $3.400 million, was finalized on Sunday for the Basra Electricity Projects Department, the city’s reconstruction unit chief said. “A local company finished preparing 270 new power transformers at a capacity of 250-400 kilovolt to replace the old ones,” Ziyad Ali told IraqiNews.com news agency. “All the transformers and equipment should help stabilize power all over the province,” he said, adding the project is part of the 2008 provincial development budget projects.
