MP demands increase in health budget

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Lawmaker Bacim Shareef demanded to increase the budget of the Iraqi Ministry of Health to 10 percent of the total federal budget. “Currently, the Health Ministry’s budget is 6 percent of the total budget,” Shareef, lawmaker of the Fadila Islamic party and member of the health and environment parliamentary committee, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “This amount does not meet our goals,” he said.
