MP calls to speed up Japanese firms’ participation in oil industry

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Monday called to speed up the contribution of Japanese companies to the Iraqi oil sector. The remark came during his reception of a delegation comprised of representatives of Japanese companies and in the presence of the Japanese ambassador to Baghdad, Shoji Ogawa, according to a statement released by Maliki’s media office and received by IraqiNews.com. “The Iraqi people have much faith in Japanese companies and we are keen to have these companies in Iraq…,” the statement quoted Maliki as saying.
