OIC opens HQ in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) will open a headquarters in the Iraqi capital later today, according to a representative of the organization in Baghdad. “This afternoon, the organization will open its headquarters in the Iraqi capital, which will coordinate between the organization and Baghdad, and provide political, economic and social support to the Iraqi government,” Hamid al-Tany said during a press conference attended by IraqiNews.com news agency. OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu had expressed his organization’s willingness to further enhance its political, economic and development relations with Iraq. SS (P) 1
