4 al-Naqshabandiya group members arrested

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Joint security forces on Tuesday morning arrested four members of al-Naqshabandiya group in southern Kirkuk city, according to a local police chief. “During an early hour this morning, a joint force from the local police, the emergency police and the Multi-National Force (MNF) captured four members of al-Naqshabandiya group in al-Nasr and al-Orouba neighborhoods, southern Kirkuk,” Brig. Sarhad Qadir told IraqiNews.com news agency. The official did not provide further details of the arrests. Al-Naqshabandiya is a group that introduces itself as an Islamic spiritual dogmatic organization, but its ideologies changed into ones of armed struggle against the occupation forces. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 1
