Meeting in Baghdad to discuss 2009 budget

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A meeting was held in Baghdad on Tuesday to discuss the federal budget of 2009 and was attended by advisers from the Iraqi Ministry of Finance, officials from the Board of Supreme Audit (BSA) and lawmakers, according to a Parliamentary media source. The source did not mention further details. Iraq’s 2009 federal budget, totaling $62 billion U.S. dollars, has not been approved thus far. The budget is based on an oil price of $50 a barrel.
