Iranian transport minister to visit Iraq soon

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iranian transport minister will visit Iraq in the coming days to discuss with the Iraqi side a number of pending issues, Iraq’s transport ministry said on Wednesday. “The visit comes in response to an invitation from the Iraqi government,” said the ministry in a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Iranian official will discuss several issues, including the issue of planes and Iraqi ships in Iran since the former regime,” the statement added. The former regime sent planes and ships to Iran, Tunisia and Jordan during 1991 war, to avoid bombing them by U.S. warplanes. The issue has not yet been solved. SH (P) 1
