90% of Iraqi industries suspended for 20 years – IFI

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Federation of Industries on Thursday said 90% of the country’s industries are suspended since 1986, according to the IFI chief. “Iraq used to rely before that date by 75% on the local industrial production,” Hashim al-Atraqji told IraqiNews.com news agency. He called for “sustaining the Iraqi private sector that has always been neglected, a matter that caused the country’s current capital flight and continued problems for a large number of Iraqi industrialists”.
