IED kills officer, injures 6 in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An officer was killed and six policemen were wounded in an improvised explosive device blast on Thursday in southern Baghdad, a security source said. “An explosive charge, planted on the road in al-Jadiriya region in southern Baghdad, went off targeting a police vehicle patrol, killing an officer and injuring six,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The blast injured also a number of the Baghdad University students,” eyewitnesses said.
