Talabani meets Iranian president in Tehran

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani will meet his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Friday in Tehran to discuss with him means of boosting bilateral relations, a media source said. “Talabani and his accompanying delegation will meet with Ahmadinejad at the Iranian presidential palace in Tehran later on Friday (Feb. 27) to discuss with him the latest political developments in Iraq and was of boosting bilateral relations,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency over the phone. “The Iraqi delegation will meet with Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Saturday (Feb. 28) and Speaker of Iranian Shura Council, Ali Larijani,” he added. Talabani arrived in Tehran late Thursday (Feb. 26) leading a high-profile delegation coming from Seoul, where he paid a four-day official visit. SH (P) 1
