Interior ministry ready for U.S. withdrawal

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Interior on Saturday said that it is ready to take over security responsibilities after the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq, explaining that a plan has been developed for this purpose. “The plan is in accordance with the timetables outlined in the Iraqi-U.S. security pact,” General Abdelkareem Khalaf told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The ministries of interior and defense share security responsibility, and the plan considers this point,” he said.
