5 soldiers killed, wounded by IED in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Five Iraqi soldiers on Monday were killed or wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in Baaquba city, according to a local security source. “Today, an explosive charge detonated in 30 Tammuz area, southern Balad Ruz district (45 km southwest of Baaquba), targeting an Iraqi army patrol vehicle,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Two servicemen were killed and three others were wounded in the blast,” the source explained.
