88 displaced families return to Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A total of 88 Christian families have returned to their houses in Mosul city since February 25 until today, a priest said on Monday. “These families have returned home from al-Qoush district and the church of the district have prepared the houses of these families,” Priest Ameel al-Alqoushi told IraqiNews.com news agency. In late September 2008, Christians in Ninewa were subjected to threats and attacks that forced many of them to leave their houses. A wide-scale security operation was conducted on September 14, 2008 to restore security and stability to the province and to return the displaced persons to their homes.
