Deputy PM takes up cooperation with EU

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Rafie al-Issawi on Wednesday discussed means of expanding cooperation with the European Union (EU), according to an official statement. “On Wednesday, Issawi met with the Czech Republic ambassador to Iraq, Peter Voznica, to discuss means of expanding Iraqi-EU cooperation…,” read the statement that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The meeting tackled the democratic process that is currently taking place in Iraq in light of the results of provincial council elections and the upcoming parliamentary polls,” the statement added.
