Lawyer gunned down in downtown Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Unknown gunmen on Wednesday killed a lawyer in downtown Kirkuk city, according to a local police chief. “A few hours ago, unidentified gunmen shot down Faysal Jassem Faysal, a lawyer, near his office in downtown Kirkuk,” Brig. Sarhad Qadir told IraqiNews.com news agency. “An investigation is currently underway,” the official noted, adding that the gunmen fled after the shooting. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and a mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
