Interior ministry’s spokesman rules out al-Qaeda’s return

BAGHDAD / Aswat a-Iraq: The official spokesman for the Interior Ministry, General Abdul Karim Khalaf, ruled out that al-Qaeda has got back its power, asserting they are acting ‘randomly’. “We can’t consider that al-Qaeda has returned and got back its power because of the past two days explosions,” Khalaf told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The interior ministry has a plan to face al-Qaeda group and launches military operations in Ninewa as well as crackdown operations to hunt down outlaws,” the spokesman noted. Ninewa witnessed on Thursday (March 5) three car bombs explosions as well as a bomb blast, which killed and injured several people. SH (P) 1
