10 arrested over involvement in Babel market explosion

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: Police forces in Babel on Saturday arrested 10 persons for their suspected involvement in an explosion that took place in a Hilla cattle market two days ago, according to a local police source. “The arrests were amde in al-Hashemiya area, 30 km south of Hilla,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Four of those arrested work as guards in the market,” he said. “Investigations are still underway to reveal more details of the incident,” he added. On Thursday (Mar. 5), a security source said that a bobby-trapped car ripped through southern Hilla city, leaving12 dead and 60 wounded.
