2 civilians wounded in 2nd Baghdad blast

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Two civilians were wounded in a sticky improvised explosive device attack in central Baghdad on Sunday, the second in the city today, an Iraqi police source said. “A sticky explosive charge attached to a civilian vehicle went off on Sunday morning in the area of al-Allawi, central Baghdad, wounding two civilians,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment,” the source added, not giving more details. Earlier in the day (March 8), medics told IraqiNews.com that the death toll from an earlier suicide bombing attack near the Police Academy in Baghdad rose to 10 while the wounded jumped to 30.
